HAPPY HOUR POST – INTERVIEW WITH MADISON GRACE

Happy Tuesday everyone, I hope you’ve all had a lovely start to the week! Welcome or welcome back to The Happy Hour. For today’s post, I will be chatting to Madison Grace from Little Miss Luna Eclipse! Madison is a teen blogger based in Australia and I absolutely love her content! Her Instagram account is one of my favourites so I will make sure to link it at the end of this post so that you can all check it out yourselves & follow for more content from her. I really hope you all enjoy this post, let’s get straight into it!!

Hey Madi! Thank you for agreeing to take part in this interview! I can’t wait to chat to you today. Before we get onto the questions, please could you introduce yourself and tell us a little bit about you & your blog?

Hi I’m Madi but I go by Little Miss Luna E Clips on instagram. I’m relatively new to blogging, I’ve been doing it for about a year. I really enjoy having a little corner of the internet and of this app to share cute fashion content and my other passions such as design, film and art. I’m a 16 Australian and I live with my parents, my younger sister and my two caboodle puppies 🐶 @charlieandcocothecavoodles 💛

I absolutely love your Instagram feed! What app/software do you use to edit your photos?

I use Lightroom to edit my photographs. I use presets I’ve bought but have begun to create my own so I can hopefully 🤞 sell my own presets some day. Sometimes I’ll use PicsArt to create a collage effect. Such as the following.

To get the bling effect I use prequel.

When did you start doing photography?

I have always loved being creative I’m studying art, film & design in my senior years of high school. Though I wish I could have done photography the ATAR system doesn’t offer it at my school. I always liked taking photos when I was little on my mums ‘special’ camera, but only really when we did something out of the ordinary. I only really began seriously pursuing photography in 2018 after our family took a huge road trip holiday and I kept borrowing my mums camera and I realised how much I loved travelling and photography. It was later that year I got my first job and began saving. The first thank thing I spent my money on was my very first camera. I remember I did so much research looking at sales and brands and lenses. 😊 📷

What is your favourite thing about content creating?

My favourite thing about content creating is how diverse it is & it combines a few of my favourite things fashion, photography & creativity! I also love love love connecting with creators on this app and forming global connections! 💛 it so cool to think that I get to chat with girls from all across the globe from my phone!

Are there any things you wish you’d known prior to starting your blog?

Prior to starting my blog I wish I had more idea of about what to write about. Even now I struggle to find things to write about and I wish I had of planned more topics to write about in advance.

What are your main niches and how did you decide you wanted to create content on these?

I actually have a few niches so I have multiple IG accounts dedicated to different niches. But on my blog account I mainly focus on fashion & design 💛 I decided in these because I love both and they blend well together, I think anyway.

How did you pick the name for your blog and Instagram (Little Miss Luna Eclipse)? I love it so much!!

The meaning behind the name is that I’ve always been fascinated by the moon which always seems to resurface within my artworks time and time again.

The moon symbolises many different things to different cultures, to me the moon is a symbol of light in the darkness, eternity and a sign of ever-changing beauty. The moon goes through phases, changing but always cycling back to its original form. An eclipse is by definition an obscuring of the light from one celestial body by the passage of another between it and the observer or between it and its source of illumination. The way my mind describes an eclipse is two celestial entities meeting for a brief moment in history before being pulled apart until in the distant future they meet again.

I intentionally misspelled eclipse and separated it into ‘E Clips’ so I was able to incorporate film clips.

I actually spent ages picking my blog and Instagram name. I really wanted it to be unique and express who I am. I also wanted it to grow with me as I started my blog at 15 I wanted it to be kinda timeless. I’m so glad you like it because in all honesty I have been thinking about changing it but I’m not sure.

You have also made a few phone/lock screen wallpapers which are really cute! What inspired you to create these?

Thank you! Yeah I really enjoy design especially interior design and graphic design. I honesty’s just made them because I was rewatching a tv show I really enjoyed and one of the characters really inspired me, she is super confident (which I’m not) so I made them as a reminder of the type of person I want to be, a confident person and also I just really loved the tv show. I’m currently working on some new wallpapers so look out for them in my page. 🤫✨

Who are your favourite bloggers?

My fav bloggers would have to be: you of course, @ mccall.mitchell, @ lisamarieprang, @ jamielynkane, @ maddieperry. Honestly there are so many but I love these girls editing style and I have chatted with a couple of them and they are so kind and lovely. There feeds are probably what inspire me the most. 💛💛
