Hey everyone!!
Happy Monday, I hope you’re all safe & well! Welcome or welcome back to The Happy Hour. This week, there will be a Happy Hour post going up every evening at 5pm which I’m super excited for. I will be chatting to lots of different content creators throughout the week and can’t wait to share their interviews with you all.
In today’s interview, I will be chatting to the lovely Becca who is a content creator & YouTuber based in the UK. Becca shares all things beauty, food, fashion & lifestyle across her platforms and I absolutely love her content! She also has a food account on Instagram dedicated to her passion for food where she shares the food she eats on a daily basis and her go-to meals, bakes & recipes! I’ll make sure to link both of her Instagram accounts & her YouTube channel at the end of this post so that you can go & check her out! But for now, let’s get straight into it :))
Hey Becca! Thank you so much for agreeing to be a part of The Happy Hour series, I’m so happy to be interviewing you today. Please can you begin by introducing yourself to my readers?
Hello! My names Becca and I have a great passion for beauty, fashion and photography! For the past 2 years, I have loved posting outfit/ makeup pictures on my Instagram to give people an insight into my own style, as well as giving some inspiration. I suppose my unique selling point is that I’m a bit of an old soul – I really am born in the wrong generation! I have always been far more comfortable around people who are older than me, and also enjoyed activities that are akin to an old women… haha. I have recently started a degree in psychology and this is something I love to document on my Youtube channel because I feel that it could really help any future students who, like me didn’t really know what to expect of uni!My main goal across all my social media platforms has always been to simply share the small pleasures that I find in life. Along side this, I also what o grow a tight nit community of likeminded people who I too can gain happiness and inspiration from.

When did you start photography and what inspired you to do so?
My passion for photography all started when I took a gamble to study the subject at A level – I had never picked up a camera before so it really was a huge risk. Luckily, however, I found a hobby that I was naturally really good at and I have loved it ever since. It’s such a wonderful thing to be able to capture beautiful aspects of the world!
Do you have a favourite photo out of all of the ones you have taken?

Do you think you’ll pursue a career in photography?
Ever since I started my photography journey I have always considered a career in photography. I would certainly love to sell my pictures on my own website one day!
What camera do you use to take all of your photos and how do you edit them?
To take my ‘professional’ images I use a Canon DSLR. However, to take my Instagram pictures, I simply use my iPhone XR!! In terms of filming I have recently upgraded to a Canon Powershot which just makes filming so so much easier because of the flip screen!! Before I was using an old camera which didn’t have a flip screen so I just had to hope that it was focused on me!! I use iMovie on my laptop to edit all of my Youtube videos, it’s so simple and effective.

What types of YouTube videos are you favourites to film?
My favourite videos to film are definitely vlogs! I find them much more realistic as I can really share my daily routines!
What would you say is your proudest achievement on YouTube so far?
I really am very new to Youtube so hitting 1 subscriber was a major thing for me because I never believed anyone would want to watch little, old me! More recently I have got 200 views on a video which blows my mind and makes me so so happy!!

Which part of the process of creating new videos do you find most challenging?
For me, creating thumbnails has always be the most challenging aspect go Youtube. I spend far too long making it look all cute and I worry too much that they aren’t good enough.
How do you balance your Instagram, YouTube, social life and education?
Balancing my work and passion for social media has always been tricky, and sometimes it is a bit stressful. But it’s a journey that I absolutely love and am so grateful that I have all the resources I need to continue with my passion!!
And that’s all of the questions!! Thank you again for chatting with me, I loved this interview!!

I absolutely loved interviewing Becca! Make sure to head over to her Instagram and YouTube so that you can see more content from her! I’ll see you all again for tomorrow’s Happy Hour Interview where I chat with Madison from LittleMissLunaEclipse!! Stay safe & keep smiling everyone!
